Issued to persons going to Tanzania for vacations, tourism, recreation, or to visit friends and family, Tanzanian visa applicants must provide a copy of their round-trip airline confirmation showing the intended date of entry and exit from Tanzania.

  1. Completed Visa Application Form
  2. A valid passport (valid for at least six months from the date of your application)
  3. Two recent passport sized photographs (on white background)
  4. Visa fee (cash)
  5. An invitation letter (if you are being invited over)
  6. Hotel reservation
  7. Six-months bank statement
  8. Yellow Fever vaccination certificate
  9. Copy of certificate of registration and official Identity Card
  10. Any refusal notice from other embassies is required

Visa Processing Time

Once you have submitted your application form and documents it will take two working daysto process your application. However, it is best to apply at least 15 days before your departure date, in order to avoid delays or disappointment in the event that additional documents are required.
